Oats daliya


Ingredients:

  • ½ cup roasted oats
  • ½ cup of boiled mixed vegetables (carrots, beans peas)
  • Tender Leaves turmeric powder
  • Tender Leaves cumin powder
  • Tender Leaves nutmeg powder
  • Ghee

Cooking procedure:

  1. In a pan add some ghee, put ½ cup oats (if not roasted, roast them well now).
  2. Add 2 cups of boiled water boiled and finely chopped mixed vegetables. Keep stirring it properly to maintain a nice thick still running consistency.
  3. Add 1/2tsp Tender Leaves turmeric powder and a little cumin powder.
  4. Let it cook till the consistency becomes a little thick.
  5. Before you let your little one taste the magic sprinkle half pinch of Tender Leaves nutmeg powder. Happy weaning!

By this age our child has tried many solids and our job as parents is to make Food time fun time by introducing new variety new colours to their plate.  Also many of us must be struggling with the tantrums little one must by throwing but just be patient don’t force feed and let them take their time. Also this is the stage where we stop pureeing everything and let our child chew the food. These naughty ones are more smart than we think, they prefer purees as its easier and they don’t have to put much energy in chewing but time and again we should encourage them to chew the food.
